Facilities

Lookout Farm is a 93 acre facility, family owned and operated, located in the rolling hills of Wellington County, close to the village of Belwood, Ontario. Our horses are part of our family and are individually cared for by only experienced and knowledgeable personnel.

Lookout Farm has numerous paddocks, large run-ins, and heated water. The farm is equipped with a century barn with 10×12 box stalls with rubber mats. Riding facilities include an indoor 70’x152′ riding arena featuring lots of natural lighting, large vent doors, and premium dust-free footing. An outdoor sand ring and cross country fences, a round-pen with sand base footing, and access to hundreds of acres of fabulous hacking.  We produce all of our own top-quality hay. We offer training, retirement, and short-term mare-care board. Daily individual or group turnout and an individualized feeding program to fit your horse’s needs is included.

We also offer training and lessons at Lookout farm. Training programs vary from starting young horses to showing and marketing horses for sale, to the development of advanced level dressage horses. We have many years of experience in developing both horse and rider from basic levels to advanced dressage. We have some horses available for lessons and offer instruction to ship-ins.

We have decades of experience with breeding, foaling, and mare & foal care. Our barn is equipped with video surveillance so we are able to provide 24 hour mare-care and foaling observation. Short term mare-care is offered for mares to be bred by Dr. Claire Plante.
